Oostappen Groep continues expansion path with largest acquisition to date
Biddinghuizen/Asten, 6 January 2012 – Camping Rivièra Parc has been acquired by Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken. Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken is an excellent choice to enhance operations and refurbishing plans at this campsite on the Veluwemeer. Camping Rivièra Parc will continue under the name ‘Oostappen Vakantiepark Rivièra Beach’.
On an A location comprising some 65 hectares Camping Rivièra Parc currently offers 1,700 pitches. Situated on the Veluwemeer the park includes a 1,000 meter private beach. Its marina provides 400 berths and other facilities include an indoor pool, indoor playgrounds and various catering establishments. Rivièra Parc realizes some 200,000 overnight stays annually.
Refurbishing, theme and expansion work on the new ‘Oostappen Vakantiepark Rivièra Beach’ is in full swing. This includes placing over 400 new rental accommodations. The pool will undergo a metamorphosis to become a subtropical swimming paradise with various wellness facilities.
In the “Old Dutch” themed central building guests will enjoy the 18th Century feel of a picturesque fishing town. There will also be an indoor golf course. Total investment over the next seven years will be some 10 million euro. This will also boost employment and the local economy.
Managing Director and sole shareholder of Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken, Mr P.P.J. This acquisition makes Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken a group of 11 vacation parks in the Netherlands and Belgium. Oostappen Groep now offers a total of 23,500 beds and 12,700 pitches generating a 42.5 million euro annual turnover. The Rivièra Parc acquisition fits in the strategy Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken set in motion. Its aim is to grow to 15 parks with an annual turnover in excess of 52.5 million euro within a period of 4 years.
